This website displays advertising through Google AdSense and may work with other advertising networks. Ads are labelled "Advertisement" and are deliberately placed away from calculator inputs, buttons and results so that they can never be mistaken for part of a tool. We do not accept advertising that changes, ranks or influences any calculation.

Affiliate links

Some links to accounting software, payroll providers, analytics tools and mortgage-rate comparison services are affiliate links. If you click one and go on to sign up or purchase, we may receive a commission at no additional cost to you. Affiliate links are marked as sponsored and appear inside clearly styled recommendation cards, not inside calculator results or explanatory content.

How recommendations are chosen

We recommend tools that are relevant to the page you are reading — accounting and payroll software alongside business calculators, rate comparison services alongside mortgage calculators. A commission relationship does not guarantee placement, and we remove recommendations when a product stops being a reasonable suggestion for readers in the US or Canada.

Editorial independence

Formulas, rates and explanations are written independently of any commercial relationship. If an advertiser disagrees with a figure, we will change it only if the figure is actually wrong.
